This week is my first week in pionner junior college. I think i am loving the sch a lot, cuz the environment is great and the teachers are caring and pjcians are friendly. I had some games and icebreakers on the first and second day together with some talks on the administrative stuff of the sch.
Den on thurs, it was the start of the lectures, i feel that the jc curiculum is much more flexible than the secondary curiculum, we have both lectures and tutorials system, which is cool cause most of the lessons are under the air conditioner. I love the school hall man, its not only big and it has 24 aircons. It was jus installed when my batch came in. HAHA.
There is a teacher who reallie looks like mr rafeek. His hairstyle and size, excpt he is fatter and teaches chem nia, he is my chem lecturer. HAHA, they share the same trait, they like to joke a lot, his name is mr suresh.
The food at pjc is also very nice and delicious, esp the stall selling chicken rice, damn its jus so nice, and u can ask for soup which is a big bowl without paying for more. There is a western stall selling food and it seems sumptous though i haven tried it, fried chicken cullet! ahha. Besides the canteen, everywheere in the sch has vending machines nearby and there is a CAFE set up near the canteen which is another source of food for the students. The lemmon tea is super nice, neither too bland nor too sweet and the hotdog bun is delicious but i haven tried it. They offer special promotions on every different days. Its kinda cool.
I jus realise how easy it is to make new friends, u jus have to open yr mouth and socialise, and dere u go, there is a new friend made. HAHA, i made a lot of new friends, besides my og. Ytd, i went to the basketball trial but was not selected, cuz i wasnt gd compared to the others. We ran 8 rounds ard the sch track which is 3.2 km in 16 min for warm up. WAs among the slowest at first den felt sian but thx yufeng for encouraging when he got pass me so i managed to compete it in 18 min plus. Den we did passing and layups which is 2 on 2. Damn, my stamina couldnt tahan too long and my layup missed. Fellt bad draggin my partner down. Thx for his encouragement. Den there was 5v5. Performed below average, i think i too rough le, keep injuring ppl. Ps to all. Though i din went in, i made new buddies again, cuz i went ard socialising with ppl from other schs. So it was rather a blessing in disguise i wld say, i din got in but i gt to noe more ppl. HAHA.
Today there was lessons too but there was much breaks in between, i was almost bored to death, lol. Some lectures were boring. lol/ Oh ya, i saw some seniors in pjc whowere from css de, again noe more contacts thru chin hou, got to know quan xiang and junhua. My ogls were great too and they are james and jenboon, but they were going to be changed next week during the orientation which means we will have a new set of ogls. Wish them all their best for their A levels!
The ppl who got into pjc from css are me, aizat, yossi, melissa, zandra, peiqi, shijun, miaoling and dolly. HAHA, i still feel a bit uncomfortable due to so manny new faces, thus i will stick to them sometimes or during lectures. Thats what other sch ppl oso do except for a minority. I chose my subjects le, i am taking h2 maths, h2 chem, h2 bio, h1 china studies in english, gp and project work. I am quite lucky as i wun be taking chi liao, i can concentrate on my other A levls subs. I hope to do well at the end of two yrs to get into the uni i wan, this yr i wan to do well for promos. The H2 subjects arent easy but i will try my best.
There is a programme called the sirius scholar programme in the sch which caters to students who got L1R5 10 and below if i am not wrong. I din qualify, but i heard that mid yrs if u did well u wll be offered a plce. I hope i can get in.
As for CCA, it is no longer much of importance to me. It will just look nice on my resume, i just checked the moe website, they have removed the importance of cca to uni admission in jc. SO it is more of a passion, i will not wan to be much involved in ccas anymore, jus wanna concentrate on studies. Shall join sth light since i cant get into basketball. Meanwhile, i need to start training for my napha, cuz i am super unfit. I dun wanna enter NS early. Chin hou is power now, he told me he last yr cant even do a pull up, this yr he can do 5 le! I mus learn to be like him sia. I guess Jc PE is much more tough, i hope though the going gets tough, the tough will get going.
I love pjc sch song, i forgot the tune le, but soon will noe, ahha. So nice la, the chorus, ahah. The fun and cute mass dance looks so cool too, hope to learn it soon in orientation next week. Let me prays that next week will be more fun and enriching for me, heys got to go ppl, ciaos!
